Since 2019, Alberta has had the slowest rate of wage growth in Canada. Why? Largely because policies implemented by the current provincial government have suppressed wages and weakened worker bargaining power. As a result, both our incomes and our standard of living are slipping.
We don’t have to accept ever-declining real wages!
The Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL) is touring the province to promote the Worker Agenda – real solutions for workers on wages, affordability, the economy, public services, and more! The second stop in Calgary focused on wages. Check out the stories of the workers who joined us.
